Hi all! Not posted for a bit, had my swine flu and reg flu last Monday,(it really ached!)Sad
Any way, ive got to go and have a pnuemonia vaccination aswell. HAs anybody else had this done as i have to change my appointment time and the nurse apparently doesn't work on my days off.
I asked if the local walk in centre could do it for me but they said they only vaccinate their own ptients! I've got a blood test on Wednesday so i will nip and see my rheummy team and ask teir advice. Just wondered if anyone else had had the pneumonia jab aswell.

Been discharged from the podiatristThumpUp LOVE my insoles (who'd have thought i'd be saying that....!)RollEyes Still on my two weekly bloods even though things seem to be settling down.(well i keep telling myself that!) I have though been waking in the night and i am aching everywhere when i roll over and it reminds me of the initial days before diagnosis. When i get up though i am not achy but my hands do feel slightly stiff. I think there are still tinges of the RA. Just wish it would clear off!!

Looking forward to Christmas dawnybee

Hi Dawny

Try not to worry about the pneumonia jab. It's a one every ten years job and I had mine last year with absoloutely no ill effects whatsoever - not even a sore arm. Everyone with a compromised immune system is advised to have it as pneumonia can be such a life threatening illness.

Much love

Hi there

I had my pneumonia jab a few years ago and had no problems. I was told it's a one off- no need to have anymore. I had my swine flu jab Tues- ok except for a bit of swelling and bruising.

Also- I've been getting symptoms simlar to the ones I had before I was diagnosed. Last bloods a couple of weks ago showed that rheumatoid activity had increased, so doc increased my sulf and said if it doesn't settle I might have to go on methotrexate. Hopefully t will settle down again.

I'm loking forward to Christmas too, and have loved the snow today. Really got me in the festive mood.

Hi Dawny,

I had the pneumonia jab in 2007, with no ill-effects whatsoever. I barely felt the needle going in.

Like Jean, I was told to have it repeated in ten years time.

Hi Dawny,

I also had the pneumonia jab about 3 years ago, it's nothing to worry about.
I was told it lasts 10 years.

Hi,

Had mine done about a month ago. No side effects at all. I was told it was for life no need of another one. Waiting for my swine flu appointment to come through.
